I’m Luis, a DevOps engineer with a passion for automation, scalability, and building efficient CI/CD pipelines that streamline software delivery.
I enjoy turning complex problems into simple, dynamic and intuitive designs whilst writing clean code.
My journey into DevOps started with a background in front-end development, but my curiosity for infrastructure, cloud technologies, and automation led me to transition into this field.
I began my tech career in 2017 after moving to England to master my English and exploring coding as a new path. Initially, I worked on troubleshooting and maintaining WordPress websites, handling tasks such as clearing caches, managing plugins, fixing URLs, and resolving email issues. These experiences sparked my interest in problem-solving and system optimisation.
As I deepened my knowledge, I expanded my skills into version control (Git/GitHub), web hosting, terminal commands, and cloud technologies. My interest in automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) led me to explore tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Transitioning from civil engineering to tech, I realized that many of the skills I developed—problem-solving, working with tight deadlines, collaborating with teams, and optimising processes—are directly applicable to DevOps. Now, I thrive in environments where I can improve system reliability, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure smooth deployments.
